ow to Beat Gangplank in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

Gangplank is fought at the end of The Heart of the Isles main story quest. While any party composition can work for this battle, with the proper strategy, it is a good idea to bring a balanced party comprised of a healer (either Illaoi or Ahri), Braum, and an attacker (Yasuo, Miss Fortune or Pyke).

Your entire strategy in this fight revolves around managing Gangplank’s Mist buff, which decreases the damage he receives by 5% for each stack. Once he reaches 10 stacks, he will be able to use Unleash Mist, which is a powerful ability that deals extreme magic damage to all Champions.

As Gangplank not only gets a stack of Mist automatically at the start of every turn but also gets more with the Mist Barrier and Mist Smash abilities, you will want to remove the debuff as quickly as possible. This is achieved by using abilities in the Speed Lane.

As such, you should make sure to have Braum taunt the enemy and put up his shield to absorb damage and protect the other party members, and have the other two Champions go with everything they got after Gangplank, with the healer focusing on restoring health when needed. Given how the Mist buff reduces damage, you will want to apply debuffs that deal damage over time.

By keeping this strategy tight, you should be able to defeat Gangplank without too many issues. Never let him use Unleash Mist, and you will likely be fine.
