Among the boss battles that will put your combat skills to the test more than any other is the one against the Avatar of Nagakabourous. Here’s how to defeat this boss without too many issues.

How to Beat the Avatar of Nagakabourous in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

The Avatar of Nagakabourous is fought at the end of The Final Trial main story quest. For this battle, it is best to bring a balanced party with a tank, a healer and an attacker.

This boss battle is made very unique by the Test abilities that add hazard zones to the Initiative Bar. Test of Precision reduces all damage taken by the boss by 50% and adds hazard zones that increase Champions’ attack power by 50%. Test of Evasion, on the other hand, adds hazard zones that deal damage to the Champions without buffing them in any way.

The most unique Test ability is the Test of Patience ability. This ability massively damages Champions that attack the Avatar while adding a far away hazard zone that will grant the Patient buff which increases attack power by 1000% and protects them from the effects of Test of Patience. As such, when this ability is used, it is best to wait until in the hazard zone to attack the Avatar.

The only other ability to look out for is the Show Me Your Power ability. This ability applies a buff to the Avatar that makes it invincible and that can only be removed by using an Ultimate ability. Make sure to do so while keeping an eye on the hazards and you will be able to win a battle that feels more like a puzzle without too many issues.
