Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is a game based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and manga franchise. It is a card collecting battle-type game released for Android, iOS, and Steam (for PC players). The core gameplay mechanic revolves around players building their own decks and using them to battle other players. The deck-building aspect is left up to the players’ imagination, but some deck types stand out more than the rest.
Duel Links features characters from the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters anime series. Seto Kaiba has created a virtual reality “Duel World” in order to gather the best duelists so they can compete. Players first have the option to play as either Yami Yugi or Seto Kaiba. As they continue to win duels, other characters become unlocked, including the character the player did not choose at the beginning.
As the game revolves around card gameplay, there are a lot of creature and spell cards in the game. Today we will be talking about one of the most iconic creatures in the game, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon
The Blue-Eyes White Dragon is a staple creature throughout the Yu-Gi-Oh series. This Legendary Dragon is a powerful engine of destruction. Throughout the series, this Dragon is known as virtually invincible. As far as the lore of the Dragon goes, very few have faced this astounding creature and lived to tell the tale.
So how does one beat the Blue-Eyes White Dragon in Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links?
Beating Blue-Eyes White Dragon
Any deck that relies on having the Blue-Eyes White Dragon is heavily dependent on bringing out strong monsters early into the game, and attacking aggressively for pressure. Due to this, most Blue-Eyes decks do not have enough monster, spell, and trap card removals, as they prioritize attacking fast and hard.
Blue-Eyes decks also tend to have trouble dealing with strong fields. If the player brings out two strong monsters during their turn, there is a good chance that the Blue-Eyes player will have a hard time removing them.
For good measure, using Spell and Trap cards can disrupt a Blue-Eyes deck’s early combos. Using a lot of these early can delay or even negate the summoning of the big threats the Blue-Eyes deck user wants to put out.
