Fire Giant Elden Ring

How to Beat The Fire Giant in Elden Ring – Boss Fight Guide

We share tips on how you can easily defeat the Fire Giant boss in Elden Ring.

The Fire Giant is the last survivor of Queen Marika’s war against Giants, who serves as one of the late-game bosses in Elden Ring, guarding the Giant’s Forge that you must use to burn the Erdtree. Defeating the Fire Giant is daunting to many players as there are weak points where he takes more damage, whereas other parts are more resistant to attacks.

In Elden Ring, the Fire Giant has two phases. In the first phase, you must focus on attacking his left ankle. But to do that, you must first close the gap.

As soon as you enter the Fire Giant boss arena and move towards the boss, the Fire Giant will use his metal shield to unleash a devastating ground attack that moves forward in your direction.

You can either dodge the attack by moving sideways or using the Torrent glitch, where you get off Torrent right when the attack is about to hit you. Once you are past the Fire Giant’s first attack, you can go behind him and start attacking his left ankle—the Fire Giant’s weak point.

At this point, save your Spirit Summon. That said, while attacking the left ankle, ensure you run away using Torrent whenever the Fire Giant is about to perform a rolling attack or uses the Fire Bombs that track you and explode on contact.

For the latter attack, you can let the Fire Bomb come close and then use Torrent’s Sprint to escape the blast radius. Also, when the Fire Giant pounds a flaming left hand on the ground—run away as he is about to use the Incantation, Giantsflame Take Thee.

Once you lower the Fire Giant’s HP by a certain amount, he will cut off his left leg—and thus begins the second phase.

In the second phase, the intensity of his attacks increases. He will still use rolling attacks, but to a greater extent, he will use the Giantsflame Take Thee attack, but they deal more damage and cover more area. He will constantly throw Fire Balls, use Fire Meteors that hit the ground, and act as mines and a few regular stomping attacks.

Now is the time to call in your Spirit Summon. We recommend the Black Knife Tiche. That aside, the primary goal remains the same: you attack his broken left leg and the right one in case you cannot get over to the other side.

We recommend using Bleed or Holy weapons to deal more damage to the Fire Giant. And if you are a mage, just use the Cerulean Hidden Tear and combine it with Comet Azur, and you are good to go.

That concludes our guide on how to defeat the Fire Giant in Elden Ring.
