A guide on how players can build forts in Lord of the Rings: Rise to War

In Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, forts are structures that improve the movement range of a commander from the settlement. Players can build a fort and upgrade it to a max level of 10. Usually, forts take about 2 hours to complete.

Forts act as a starting point for armies since armies can only move a limited number of tiles. Note that they need to reposition to that fort, not just march. One important thing that players should keep in mind is that when the construction of a fort starts, the tile it is on halts resource generation.

So, constructing forts on empty spaces is a great idea as they don’t produce many resources. To build forts players will require the following resources:

  • Wood – 5000
  • Ore – 5000
  • Stone -10,000
  • Gold -12,000

While building forts, it is advised that players construct them far away (probably, near the edge) from their main settlement, as they will help the armies to advance. Armies take time to travel to places and building the forts far away will cut down some time.
