Where to Find Flutter Mane in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Before we start, we should mention that Flutter Mane is found exclusively in Pokémon Scarlet. Both versions have their own unique set of Paradox Pokémon, so if you’re playing Pokémon Violet, you’ll have to trade for Flutter Mane.

Since you’ll be delving into the fully unlocked Area Zero, otherwise known as the Greater Crater of Paldea, this means you’ll need to have completed the main story of the game. If you haven’t seen the game credits at least once, you must do so first.

Go to Zero Gate, and warp to Research Station No. 3. Head outside, then turn to your right, and you should see a cave entrance. Go inside the cave, and you’ll immediately see a wide range of Pokémon, with Flutter Mane being one of the rarer spawns.

We’re still not really sure how the cave spawns work in Area Zero, since you can seemingly find anything anywhere, but we had the most luck in this cave in particular.

A small trick to use is to go inside the cave, check the immediate spawns, then leave the cave to make everything respawn once you go back in.

Flutter Mane seemed to have a pretty decent base spawn rate in this cave, although it’s still pretty low compared to other Pokémon in the cave. We highly recommend making a sandwich to boost your encounter rate of Ghost type Pokémon to give you the best chance.
