How to Change Base Design in Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans is a deep strategy game where you will have to keep track of a lot of different mechanics to be able to win against other players.

Among the most important mechanics to focus on in Clash of Clans is the base building mechanics. Your design shouldn’t just be pleasing to the eye, but it should also be effective to keep opponents from destroying it.

If you think you have made some mistakes in designing your base, you will be happy to know that it is possible to change it without incurring any penalty. Here’s how to do so.

How to Change Base Design in Clash of Clans

Changing your base design in Clash of Clans is quite easy to do. While in the game, tap on the hand icon located on the right side of the screen to access the Layout Editor. Inside the new menu, tap on the War Base tab to access the War Base editing options that will allow you to change your base’s design.

Once in the War Base Editor, things become very intuitive. In the lower part of the screen, you will find all the structures available to you, and the only thing you will have to do to place them on your base is to drag them from the bottom of the screen and onto your base. To remove a structure, you have to enable Erase Mode by tapping on the button to the right, and then pick the structure you want to remove. In case you want to start over from the beginning, all you have to do is tap on the Remove All button, which will remove all placed structures.
