Pokémon GO was a smash hit when it first came out, breaking all sorts of concurrent player records for the Pokémon franchise all over the world!
As is with every Pokémon game, players are tasked with searching for Pokémon to capture and collect, using them to battle other Pokémon, be it against the AI or against other players. The difference with Pokémon GO is that it utilizes the player’s phone GPS to find and capture Pokémon!
The game has been expanding its roster since its humble release with the original 151 Pokémon all the way to modern times. Pokémon got so popular that the original roster kept expanding till we got to eight whole generations of Pokémon!
Today we will be talking about one of the Unova releases, Trubbish, and how to acquire it in Pokémon GO!
Trubbish
Trubbish is a Poison-type Pokémon introduced in the Gen-5 games of Pokémon Black and White. It evolves into Garbodor when fed 50 candies.

Trubbish has been known to be a somewhat ineffective Pokemon in older games, but all of that changes in Pokemon GO. Trubbish and its evolution, Garbodor, are powerhouses in their own right. Its best moveset consists of a combination of any moves along with:
- Acid
- Gunk Shot
With a max CP of 1,131, which is quite good for a first-stage Pokemon, Trubbish can be caught in a few ways.
How to get Trubbish
There are two primary methods of collecting Trubbish:
- Eggs (2km, 5km or 7km)
- Raid boss battles
Each of these methods are equally potent. The eggs could be acquired as rewards for different events throughout Pokémon GO, while the Raid events are constantly changing, and being on the lookout for one involving Trubbish should not be too difficult!
