How to Complete Quest 66 in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Pokemon Legends Arceus is the first open-world entry in the series, and, as such, it features plenty of optional content and sidequests that require the player to go out of their way to complete.

Some of these sidequests will also only become available late during the game or even after completing the main campaign. This is definitely the case of Request 66, The Sea’s Legend. Here’s how to complete it as quickly as possible.

How to Complete Quest 66 in Pokemon Legends Arceus

To start Request 66, The Sea’s Legend, in Pokemon Legends Arceus, you need to accept it from the board in the Galaxy Team headquarters. As soon as you accept it, Professor Laventon will talk with you about a mysterious Pokemon that has been spotted recently on Prelude Beach, a Pokemon that may have been taken by the currents to Cobal Coastlands. This Pokemon, according to Warden Iscan, could be related to an ancient legend that said that the Cobalt Coastlands were once the home of a princely Pokemon.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any more hints available in Pokemon Legends Arceus, but in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you can find a book detailing the legend in Canalve Library. So, to complete Request 66, you will need to find a Buizel, a Mantyke and an Overqwil. Mantyke can be found in Tranquility Cove in the Cobalt Highlands, Buizel in bodies of water in Horseshoe Plains, while Overqwil can be obtained by making Qwilfish use Barb Barrage in Strong Style 20 times.

After obtaining all three Pokemon, have them in your party, fast travel to the Cobal Coastlands camp, head to the northwest, ride Basculegion, and go through the twin rocks during the evening. After this is done, a cutscene will play, and Seaside Hollow will open. You can find the cave in the location highlighted on the map below.

Before entering the cave, make sure you are ready for a challenging fight, as you will have to fight three Phione and one level 50 Manaphy. You will need to catch Manaphy, so make sure you save your game before entering Seaside Hollow to avoid having to leave the cave and repeat the battle from the start.

After capturing Manaphy, speak with Professor Laventon at the Galaxy Team HQ or at any of the camps to complete the request. You will get three Comet Shards as reward.
