A Matter of Discretion can be started right after completing the To Catch a Killer main story quest. To initiate it, purchase the related rumor from the rumormonger in the Bilgewater Docks, and then head over to Baron’s Rest to speak with Renee, who is sitting at a table to the right of the counter.
After talking with her, accept to meet her in the hallway. This will complete the sidequest, and start a new one, the Through the Lens sidequest.
How to Complete the Through the Lends Sidequest in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story
Head into the hallway and speak with Renee to learn that she is looking for a special item that can only be located with the help of a tool, the Ethereal Lens. Accept to help her to start the new sidequest and receive the tool.
To find the special container that includes the item Renee is looking for, all you need to do is head over to the Captain’s Pub in the Slaughter Docks area to see a strange vortex. Enter it to reach the Spirit Realm and find a treasure chest. Choose to pick it up and bring it back to Renee in Baron’s Rest. You can try asking about the contents of the chest, but Renee will not tell you much about them. No matter which choice you pick, handing over the chest will complete the sidequest, and you will get to keep the Ethereal Lens as your reward. You will also get 300 gold for your trouble.
