Fortnite gave players a secret final gift to mark the end of the Winterfest celebrations and to apologize for the server issues. The free harvesting tool was the magical Crescent Shroom Pickaxe, a silver and blue tool that glows with the power of the Slurp Mushroom. Anyone who noticed the details of the pickaxe saw that it is part of a set, which meant some had to wait patiently for the rest of the set to arrive.
The Fungus King Set
The text under the pickaxe gift reads: “Fit for a mushroom king. Part of the Fungus King set.”
The rest of the Fungus King set arrived on January 14, 2022, and includes a mystical shroom skin and back bling.
Madcap is a blue mushroom person with a purple mushroom cap covered in slurp-blue bubbles, wearing a purple jacket and boots. His back bling, Bello Bag (because Portobello Mushroom—get it?!) is a bag full of purple mushrooms also covered in the same slurp-blue bubbles seen on his cap.
Unfortunately, you cannot purchase the skin and back bling separately, but they can be bought together for the reasonable price of 1,500 V Bucks. Seeing as though we have already been given the pickaxe for free when it would’ve cost 800 V Bucks, this is a pretty good deal for those who would have wanted the full set anyway. The style comes in 2 selections: Normal and Glowing.
The Bello Bag back bling glows too, giving a magical and slightly eerie glowing mist around the mushrooms. These additions really do complete the whole magical look.
