Ready to go to the moon drunk? BitLife‘s latest challenge is here, and it requires players to earn their astronaut badge while drinking like a madman the entire way through, so here’s how to complete the Raving Lunar-tic challenge in BitLife.
Completing the Raving Lunar-tic challenge in BitLife
Don’t underestimate the name of this challenge—by the end of it, you really will feel like a lunatic who somehow ended up on the moon. For this challenge, players need to:
- Be born in Oregon
- Drink at the club 5+ times
- Maintain an alcohol addiction
- Become an astronaut
- Retrieved 2+ Lunar Artifacts while addicted to alcohol
Quite the list, no? This challenge is proving to be a bit of a tough one due to some randomness involved, so we’ll walk you through the whole thing.
How to be Born in Oregon
The first goal of the challenge is the easiest, as all you need to do is start your life in Oregon. When you’re creating your character, make sure to set your country to United States and place to Portland, which is the largest city in Oregon. Easy as pie, but unfortunately, it only gets harder from here on out, so buckle up!
How to Become an Astronaut
When you start your new life in Oregon, take note of your smarts. It should be somewhere around 30-50%, as we can work with that. Even better if you get naturally high smarts, but if your smarts are somewhere below 20%, you may want to restart, as it’s only going to be an uphill battle to becoming an astronaut.
For your early years, make sure to use the study harder action frequently. Get used to doing this, as you’re going to have keep your grades near maximum in order to get far in this career. In high school, continue to keep your grades up.
Once you get to the college, make sure that you set your degree to a STEM field, which includes engineering, information systems, physics, chemistry, and mathematics. It doesn’t matter which one, it just needs to be any of them. Get good grades and graduate from college.
Next up, you’ll need to spend 40 hours at flight school, as we’re going to get your pilot’s license. If you need money, take on a small gig or part-time job, then take the test to get your license.
With your college degree and pilot’s license, you’re ready to head into space academy. The US space academy is basically another form of higher education, and it’ll only appear once you’re ready to become an astronaut. Apply and get in, no matter what it takes.
During your time at the academy, make sure that you’re working on all your skills. They basically work like a subset of skills, just like your four main attributes. If you do well enough, you’ll graduate from the academy in no time.
Once you’re out, you’re ready to apply to be an astronaut, which should appear in the jobs list now. When you apply, NASA might hit you with a pop-quiz question about real-life astronauts, but Wikipedia should be able to help you with that. Nail the question, and you should now be an astronaut!
How to Retrieve Lunar Artifacts and Become an Alcoholic
The next part of the challenge is very important, so we’re going to do things in a specific order. You could technically start getting your drink on right now, but it’s much safer to train up your skills first.
As an astronaut, you can now perform research experiments and spacewalks. You want to do these two missions as much as possible to increase your reputation, as the lunar exploration missions don’t unlock until you’re promoted.
Once you’re promoted and you can do lunar exploration missions, it’s time to get wasted! Start going to the club as many times as possible, and drink each time. You’ll get the five drinks goal in no time, and you should also become addicted to alcohol. Yay for alcoholism!
Now that we’re buzzed, it’s time to explore the moon, naturally. Each lunar mission has risk associated, so just hope that the randomness doesn’t get to you. Each time you launch into space, you might be prompted to hit the red launch button to get to the moon instantly, but this makes you watch an ad. If you have the time, it’s a great way to skip some of the risk.
During your missions, keep an eye out for the popups that mention “something unusual”. Make sure to pick it up every time, as these are the lunar artifacts we’re looking for.
Once you get two lunar artifacts, you’re done with the challenge! Congratulations, you have now completed the Raving Lunar-tic challenge. If you have any other tips or questions about this challenge, let us know in the comments below!
