Among the bosses you will have to take down in the first half of the game is Lahmu. Here’s how to defeat this demon with ease.

How to Defeat Lahmu (1st Fight) in Shin Megami Tensei V

Lahmu is first fought in Jozoji Temple, and the demon will only appear after defeating the Lamia and Anzu demons. Despite looking like a proper fearful demon, Lahmu isn’t particularly strong in this first fight.

As Lahmu can only use Mudo, bringing demons that can resist Darkness will give you an edge in this fight. As Mudo can cause instant death to characters even if they are not weak against Darkness, however, we suggest you change the Nahobino’s resistances via Demon Essences, as the battle will end if the Nahobino is defeated, no matter if your other demons are at full health.

When it comes to offensive strategies, Lahmu is weak against Force and Light, so make sure to bring as many demons as possible that can use Zan and Hama skills to deal high damage and get some extra turns. Heal when needed, blast the demon away with these skills, and the fight will soon be over. Do not think, however, that Lahmu is defeated for good. The demon will come back soon, stronger than before, so you’d better get ready.
