How to Defeat Loup-Garou in Shin Megami Tensei V

The world of Shin Megami Tensei V is a very dangerous one, and the Nahobino will have to take down all sorts of powerful demons to fulfill his objectives and remake reality as he sees fit.

Along the way, you will have to defeat Loup-Garou, a hard-hitting demon that can be a little difficult to beat. Here’s how to take him down without too many troubles.

How to Defeat Loup-Garou in Shin Megami Tensei V

Loup-Garou is fought as a boss in the Container Yard, but you will also meet this demon as a regular enemy later on. Loup-Garou comes with very high Strength, so you will need a solid strategy to win.

Given how hard the boss hits, and that all of his attacks are physical attacks, you will want to bring a demon that is capable of resisting or nulling them. Oni is the perfect choice at this point in the game, as the demon not only resists Physical attacks but can also use Taunt to make Loup-Garou focus his attacks on him. If you have a demon capable of using Rakukaja, do bring it to battle to increase Oni’s defense and make him even more resilient.

With Loup-Garou focused on attacking Oni, the rest of your party can focus on attacking and healing. Bring demons that can use Ice and Light attacks to deal a lot of damage, get some extra turns and defeat Loup-Garou as quickly as possible. Interrupt your offensive only when the boss charges Magatsuhi, as he will unleash Souffle D’eclair the following turn, a special Electricity based attack that deals severe damage to a single target. Defend or use an Elec Dampener to mitigate damage, resume your previous strategy and Loup-Garou will soon become history.
