How to Design Vacation Homes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing New Horizons

Designing Vacation Homes in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Happy Home Paradise DLC is pretty straightforward, but it still is tons of fun.

Before you can start designing vacation homes for all sorts of clients, you will first have to build one for Eloise. She would like to have a house with a relaxing reading room, and the cardboard boxes inside will include the furniture she wants in her house. This process essentially teaches you the basics of the expansion’s designing mechanics.

Once you are done with Eloise’s home, you can start designing other vacation homes. To start doing so, you will have to talk with any client that can be found in the new archipelago unlocked by the expansion so that you can learn how they want their vacation home to look like and which furniture they want in it.

Once you have learned more about the vacation home of your client’s dreams, it is time to build them. Select an island for a vacation home, and then start decorating the interior and the exteriors, make sure to include the furniture requested by the client to make them happy. In case you have forgotten which furniture they want in their new home, you use the Order menu in Decorating Mode.

Building Vacation Homes isn’t just for the fun of it, as you can get some pretty nice rewards for doing so. If you have spent more than 20 minutes decorating a home, you will also obtain the flooring you used for the house as a reward by speaking with the client once they have commented on how much time you spent decorating. Designing multiple homes will also allow you to learn multiple Design Skills that will let you create even more impressive houses.
