How to Dive in the Xbox Version of Fall Guys

The majority of events in Fall Guys require you to guide your little bean dude through a perilous obstacle course of some sort. You can run, jump, grab, and even dive, and you’ll need to master all of these maneuvers if you want to make it to the finish line!

The dive is an especially important move as when performed, it’ll send your bean flying through the air. Diving is incredibly helpful for platforming, as if you mess up a jump, and you’re about to fall short, diving can help you get the extra distance you need.

To perform a dive, simply tap the X button on the Xbox controller. You can do this on the ground or in midair. Your bean will dive forward, land on their belly, and then get up. As we mentioned, diving is a great way to get some extra distance on a jump.

The default diving button is the X button on the Xbox controller. You can change the controls if you want.

However, you shouldn’t dive after every jump. Once you land from a dive, your bean will be on their belly, and you lose all forward momentum. Since most of the events in Fall Guys are races, you’ll be losing a lot of speed by repeatedly diving.

Instead, try to use dives for getting over tough jumps, or if a wall is about to close your only way forward. The instant burst of forward momentum is great for clearing timed obstacles, but you’ll need to time it well in order to get the most out of it.
