Minecraft Bedrock Edition is the name for all modern versions of Minecraft, on just about any platform. On a select few platforms, players are able to join the beta program and test out new, upcoming features. Today, we’ll show you how to download Minecraft Bedrock Edition beta on iOS.
How to Download Minecraft Bedrock Beta on iOS
We hate to be disappointingly blunt, but there’s no other way to say this: currently, there is no way to download the Minecraft Bedrock Edition beta on iOS. Mojang is fully aware of the demand for this, but there hasn’t been any news about it yet.
If you’d like to join the Bedrock Edition beta, you can do so on the following platforms:
- Windows
- Xbox
- Android
For Windows and Xbox platforms, all you need to do is go to your respective app store and download the Xbox Insider Hub app. If your Microsoft account owns a digital copy of Minecraft, you should see its beta program in the Xbox Insider Hub. Sign up for it, and you’ll be notified of new beta builds you can download.

On Android platforms, it’s easy to get into the beta! Simply go to Minecraft‘s page on the Google Play Store. If your device is compatible, you should see a beta signup button right below the normal download button. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll receive notifications from the Google Play Store when there are new beta builds for you to try.
If you don’t see the beta signup option, you can also try going to the Mojang Android tester sign up page. This will take you straight to the page where you can enable testing for your Google Play account.
That wraps up our guide on the Minecraft Bedrock Edition beta. If iOS players ever get to experience the beta, we’ll update this guide accordingly.
