Here’s everything you need to know about dowsing in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD.

How to Dowse in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

As already mentioned, Dowsing allows Link to find all sorts of items, including some that are required for story progression. To Dowse, first, you will have to obtain the Goddess Sword, as dowsing is not available without it. After this is done, to start dowsing, you will have to press and hold up on the directional pad to bring up the menu. On the menu, you will find a variety of items that you can search for, including treasure, Hearts, Rupees, Gratitude Crystals, and more.

Once you have picked the item to search for, you can start dowsing. Use the right stick to look around, and watch out for the beeping sound indicating you are close to your target. An arrow will also appear on the screen to indicate the position of the item you are searching for. Follow it, and you should find whatever it is you are currently searching for.
