How to Evolve Fomantis in Pokemon GO

Evolving Fomantis into the Bloom Sickle Pokemon, Lurantis, is but a simple affair. All you need to do is collect 50 Fomantis Candy and use them on your Fomantis during the day to watch your Fomantis evolve into Lurantis.

A useful tip to help you gain more Fomantis Candy quicker is to walk with Fomantis as your buddy Pokemon. If you have Pinap Berries with you, you can use them while catching Fomantis too to increase the Fomantis Candy you obtain.

Then, just make sure it is daytime in-game. You can easily do this by making sure it is daytime in real life as well, as Pokemon GO follows the current time of your region. You should then see a little tick mark next to the sun symbol on Fomantis’ evolution button, signifying that the daytime evolution requirement is currently being fulfilled.

How to Get Fomantis in Pokemon GO

Fomantis can be captured through a couple of methods in Pokemon GO:

  1. Complete Step 1 of ‘An Akala Adventure’ special research quest (guaranteed Fomantis)
  2. Lush Jungle field research task – using 10 Berries to help catch Pokemon
  3. In the wild

While Fomantis had an increased spawn rate in the now-terminated Lush Jungle event, Fomantis can still be caught in the wild, and is not that rare either!
