Scyther, in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, can evolve into either its Hisuian evolution, Kleavor, or Scizor, its evolution that was introduced way back in Generation II, but is still as much of a powerhouse today as it was back then.
Before you can evolve your Scyther into any one of its evolutions, however, you will have to catch the elusive Bug / Flying type Pokemon for yourself.
Where to Catch a Scyther in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
The only way to obtain Scyther is by catching it in the overworld, and the best place to do that is in Obsidian Fieldlands (The Heartwood), where you will have Scyther spawning there very frequently.
If you don’t want to follow that method for whatever reason, you can also travel to Alabaster Icelands (Bonechill Wastes, Heart’s Crag), where you can find them as a rare encounter in Space-Time Distortions.
Now that we have established how you can get a Scyther in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, let’s move on to evolving it.
How to Evolve Scyther into Kleavor in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Evolving Scyther into Kleavor in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is pretty simple: you need to select the Black Augurite item and use it on your Scyther, and that’s about it.
The Black Augurite can be found as drops from beating wild Graveler. They can also be found as hidden treasures when riding Ursaluna. Finally, you have a 100% chance to obtain a Black Augurite when you complete Request 68: A Nosepass to Guide the Way.
How to Evolve Scyther into Scizor in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Scyther evolves into Scizor in a similar fashion to Kleavor. You need to use a Metal Coat on Scyther, which then evolves it into a Scizor.
Metal Coats can be found in various ways. You can purchase it from the Trade Post in Jubilife Village for 1,000 Merit Points, or from Ginter in front of Galaxy Hall for 5,000 PokeDollars. They can also be found randomly in Space-Time Distortions. Finally, they can be dropped by beating Magnemite, Magneton, Magnezone, and Scizor themselves!
