When you’re playing a game like Fire Emblem Engage, you will want to level up your units as quickly as possible. For that, you will need to know the best ways to farm EXP.
Luckily, Fire Emblem Engage offers many methods for getting EXP, and leveling up is not as challenging as it used to be in some previous Fire Emblem games. This level grinding guide teaches you how to farm EXP quickly in Fire Emblem Engage, so let’s dive in!
Use Your Weaker Units
One of the basic ways to farm EXP is to let your weaker units do the killing, but this will require some strategizing as well. If you engage stronger enemies, your weaker units face the risk of getting annihilated instead of getting those EXP points, so make sure to weaken the enemy with stronger units first and serve them on a platter to your weaker character.
This method works very well, especially at the beginning of the game, when you can use Vander to do the heavy lifting and level up Alear.

Train at Your Home Base
The floating island of Somniel, which serves as your home base in Fire Emblem Engage, features the Arena that comes with Standard Training practice. You get to fight your allies in fake battles for EXP and Skill Points.
This can be a great way of earning EXP without any risks, but there is a limitation: you can only have up to three practice sessions after each battle. Therefore, make sure to come back to Somniel regularly for this reason.
Do Silver Corrupted Skirmishes
Skirmishes become available after Chapter 6 in places you’ve already visited, and they can be Training, Standard, Silver, or Gold. You will want to focus on Silver Skirmishes for this, as they give more EXP.
Look for blue icons to locate this skirmish type, and keep in mind that the unit that deals the final blow gets additional EXP.

Unleash Micaiah’s Great Sacrifice
Another great method that becomes available after Chapter 6, when you acquire Emblem Micaiah, is using her special skill called Great Sacrifice. Unleashing Great Sacrifice will heal all your units and earn you 120 EXP.
You will need to manipulate your units’ HP a bit and prepare in advance, but if you also have Emblem Celica with a Level-8 Bond, you can use Great Sacrifice twice in a row. Use Celica’s Favorite Food skill after you’ve done one round of Great Sacrifice, and you will be able to unleash it again, bringing in 240 EXP.
Use Emblem Marth and His Weapon Mercurius
As you get Marth at the beginning of the game, make sure to invest in this bond, since that will get you Mercurius when the bond reaches Level 10. Mercurius comes with a passive effect that doubles the EXP of its user, so use it in battle and level up easily.
We hope you get all the EXP you need to make your party as strong as you need with these methods. For more Fire Emblem Engage help, check out our dedicated section.
