Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX are all about training the strongest possible monsters, but to do so, you will need money, which doesn’t really come easy in both titles.
While it is possible to win battles even with untrained monsters, you will not be able to go very far into the game, so it’s always a good idea to slow down actual progression in both games to farm some much-needed money.
Here’s how to earn money efficiently in both games.
How to Farm Money in Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX
Despite the two games not being much different from one another, earning money in Monster Rancher 1 and Monster Rancher 2 DX is done with different methods.
How to Farm Money in Monster Rancher 1 DX
Farming money in Monster Rancher 1 is considerably easier than its sequel, as you are able to take on jobs that can be completed by any of your monsters. Jobs not only pay decent amounts of money, but they can also increase one of the monster stats, so completing them comes with multiple benefits. However, you cannot get the same monster to work over and over as it will need some rest, so make sure to have multiple ones ready to go if you’re in serious need of money.
Below, you will find all of the jobs available in Monster Rancher 1 DX, how much they pay and which stats they increase.
Jobs | Pay | Stats Increase |
Build | 150 G | Power and Life, but decreases Speed |
Cart | 100 G | Power |
Circus | 150 G | Speed and Intelligence, but decreases Power |
Field | 100 G | Intelligence |
Forest | 100 G | Speed |
Hunt | 100 G | Skill |
Guard | 100 G | Defense |
Logging | 100 G | Life |
Mailman | 150 G | Intelligence and Skill, but decreases Defense |
Mine | 150 G | Life and Defense, but decreases Skill |
The only other way to earn money in Monster Rancher 1 DX is to take part in tournaments and win.
How to Farm Money in Monster Rancher 2 DX
Farming money in Monster Rancher 2 DX is considerably harder. Jobs are no more, so the only ways to earn money are by taking parts in tournaments, or playing what was once the PocketStation exclusive minigame. Unfortunately, this minigame pays very little amounts of money, so it’s not exactly worth it.
