How to Find Crimson Qurupeco Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is all about getting powerful monsters in your party, but finding all of them isn’t exactly easy. While the most common monsters can be found roaming the fields right from the start of the game, the rarest and most powerful monsters can only be found in specific locations or must be defeated in the story first before they start appearing in the field and in monster dens.

How to Find Crimson Qurupeco in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

The Crimson Qurupeco isn’t one of the rarest monsters to find in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, but he will definitely give you some trouble as you attempt to take it down the first time. The monster is first encountered in the Pit of Remembrance area in the Lamure region, and you must defeat it to move the story forward. Doing so can be a little complicated, as Crimson Qurupeco can lower your elemental attack with Fatigue Song and summon a Plum Daimyo Hermitaur once Enraged. It switches from Technical to Speed attacks as well, so you’d better come prepared if you want to make it out alive. To take it down, focus on destroying the head with Blunt attacks: once you do, you will knock the monster down and leave it open to your most powerful attacks.

Once you defeat the Crimson Qurupeco, it will start appearing in the Pomore Garden. Make it retreat to its den to get its eggs and finally make it join your party!
