How to Find Green Nargacuga in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin features tons of different monsters to fight and recruit for your party, but finding some of them will not be easy, as they have very low spawn rates or can only be found in certain locations. A few others can be difficult to get in your party due to how powerful they are, which makes it difficult to make them retreat to their den, which is needed to get their eggs.

Here’s how to find Green Nargacuga, one of the variants of the base monster that can be a little difficult to take down.

How to Find Green Nargacuga in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin

The Green Nargacuga is a little difficult to find, compared to the regular Nargacuga, as it can only be found in two specific areas: the East Kamuna Heights in Hakolo Island, which requires the Fly skill to access, and the Lamure region, in the area you have to go to right after completing Lamure Tower.

Finding one of them, however, doesn’t guarantee you will be able to get one of its eggs, as you will need to fight it and make it retreat. Green Narcaruga uses Speed attacks when not Enraged, and Power Attacks when Enraged. Its Enraged state lasts three turns, so you will need to change up your strategy to survive the onslaught of Power Attacks. To make things easier, you should bring Thunder elemental weapons, against which the Green Nargacuga is weak, and try to paralyze the monster. Damage it enough, break its parts, and it should retreat to its den, allowing you to find one of its eggs and finally get it in your party.
