Animal Crossing: New Horizons

How to Find Tortimer’s Storage in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update introduced so many new features that it’s difficult to list them all and be short about it. Most of these new features can be accessed on Harv’s Island’s new plaza, but they won’t be available right after the update has been installed, as you will have to make a donation to open up shops first.

Among the new shops and facilities that can be opened on Harv’s Island in update 2.0 is Tortimer’s Storage. Here’s how to find it and how its services can help you.

How to Find Tortimer’s Storage in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

With so many new items becoming available for purchase once you open shops in the new Harv’s Island shopping plaza, it can become frustrating to manage your inventory properly if you do not use Tortimer’s Storage. To unlock it, you will need to visit Harv’s Island once you have received an invitation and build it by donating 100,000 Bells to the Gyroid located in the upper left side of the plaza.

Once you have made your donation, you will have to wait for a day to pass. Once it has, head back to Harv’s Island shopping plaza and talk with Tortimer to use the services his new shop provides.

How to Use Tortimer’s Storage

Tortimer’s Storage can be used to place your items in storage and retrieve them for free, which is extremely handy if you’re looking to do some serious shopping in the plaza.

Tortimer will also offer you an acorn every day when you address him as the Acorn Legend. It’s not much, but you should never dismiss items given out for free!
