Rune Factory 5 is the latest entry in a very interesting series that combine action role-playing game mechanics with simulation games mechanics, allowing you to establish lasting bonds with other characters in many different ways.

The strongest bonds you can forge in the game, however, are of the romantic sort, as Rune Factory 5 allows you to marry select characters. And to do so, you will have to confess your love to them.

There will be times, however, when confessing will not lead to your desired results. Here’s what to do when this happens.

How to Fix Confession Not Working in Rune Factory 5

To confess to your love interest in Rune Factory 5, you will need to reach at least Friendship Level 7 with the character of your choice and see at least 2 Romance Events. When this is done, you will get the option of confessing your love when interacting with your love interest. Confessing, however, has a different success rate, which depends on your Friendship Level.

At Friendship Level 7, which is the bare minimum to unlock the confessing option, you will only have a 30% success rate. Things improve quite a bit at Level 8 and Level 9, which increase the success rate to 60% and 100% respectively. So, if confession isn’t working, all you need to do is increase your Friendship Level. Once at Level 9, your confession will always work if your love interest isn’t married to another and if there are no other Romance Events active.
