Pokemon Go‘s incense is used to attract Wild Pokemon for up to 60 minutes. When it is active, it creates a pink swirling smoke effect around the player who uses it, and around the Pokemon the incense is meant to attract. It is only the player who uses and activates the Incense who can see Pokemon that are attracted by it. The incense can help spawn around 1 Wild Pokemon every 5 minutes or so while the player is still, or every minute if the player is walking.

  1. Open up Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Open Date & Time
  4. Make sure Set Automatically is ON

Fixing the Incense Issue on Android Smartphone

  1. Open up System
  2. Choose Date & Time
  3. Make sure Automatic Date & Time is ON
  4. Make sure Automatic Timezones is ON
