Ever since Pokemon Unite’s 1.4.1.7 update has rolled out, players have been encountering a strange storage error that pops up every time they try to play the game. Luckily for you, we may have just the right solution for it.
How to Fix Insufficient Device Storage Error in Pokemon UNITE
Before you go trying out every method you can to fix the storage error, one thing you can do initially is check whether you actually have the required space to have the game installed:
- Turn on your Nintendo Switch
- Click on System Settings
- Click on Data Management
- Check your memory
If you happen to be short on memory, then simply delete items to make enough space for Pokemon Unite. If this is not the case, or if this method simply does not work, then you will need to try the following method.
- Exit Pokemon Unite
- Open the game again
- Select “Options”
- Scroll to and select “Manage Software.”
- Select “Archive,” which should archive the game away but keep the player’s save data intact
- Back in options, select “Software Update”
- Select “Re-Download Software.”
- Once the game is finished updating and installing, return to options and select software update again “Via the Internet.”
- Once everything has finished updating and installing, players should be able to re-open the game. Players will no longer encounter the device storage error if the fix worked.
Again, this is not a guaranteed fix. While this has worked for many, it has not worked for others. If the latter is the case with you as well, then all we can do is wait for the developers to acknowledge and provide a fix for the issue themselves.
