How To Fix Warhammer 40K: Darktide Error Code 2007

The Warhammer 40k: Darktide pre-order beta isn't without its problems. Here's how to fix error code 2007 in the game, or at least try to.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is a new first-person shooter and adventure game that was released in pre-order beta on Nov. 18, 2022. The game is set in the popular Warhammer 40,000 universe, where players can revisit their favorite franchise while enjoying lots of different maps, weapons, and interesting characters.

And although it’s still a pre-order beta, Darktide is already shaping up to have a successful launch, as a significant number of players are currently enjoying the beta that became available on Nov. 18. However, as expected from a beta, the game hasn’t been without its issues. In this guide, you can learn how to fix the Warhammer 40k: Darktide error code 2007.

How to fix Warhammer 40K: Darktide error code 2007

Like with many games, developers tend to release betas to give players a chance to try out the game before a full launch. That can be done as a way to reward those who pre-ordered or to get more players to pre-order. And in the case of Darktide, those who pre-ordered the game now get to play the exclusive beta, which launched on Nov. 18—but it hasn’t been without its problems.

The error code 2007 is not at all related to the year 2007. It can occur at any time in the game, whether you’re halfway through a mission or even after you’ve completed one and are about to get your reward(s), and it disconnects you from the game. This is why it can be so frustrating, especially for players who have worked hard to complete a particular mission, only for the error to force them to quit the game and lose their progress.

The game’s developers switched the names of several error codes after the recent update. The idea is that it would make it easier for them to differentiate each error when trying to fix the bugs, which is why the internal error is now error code 2007.

And since there’s no official fix for this error code just yet, all that is left for you is to use the typical troubleshooting methods and hope they solve the problem. So you can try restarting your PC, restarting the game itself, checking to make sure your Wi-Fi or internet connection is stable, or even using a VPN to play.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide launches globally on Nov. 30, and hopefully developers will have fixed the majority of these issues by then.
