Terraria is a Re-Logic sandbox action adventure game first released in 2011. The game has everything a player could want from a sandbox game: crafting, combat, exploration, building, and more! There are hundreds of items and things to find and use, or even craft for yourself. One of the consumable items is Ambrosia. Check out our guide to find out how to get Ambrosia in Terraria.
How to Find and Use Ambrosia in Terraria
Consumable items in Terraria are things players can use that will then disappear upon use. These can be ingredients, potions, or food that is eaten to gain effects. Ammo is also a consumable item as it is used when the weapon it is loaded into is fired. There are also a few consumable weapons which are dropped once they have been used.
Ambrosia is a consumable item that has a positive effect on the player. Ambrosia increases the mining speed, as well as tile and wall placement. It is a permanent power-up so you will only need it once.

To create Ambrosia you will need to first gather any Fruit by shaking trees. This could be any of the following fruits:
- Apple
- Apricot
- Grapefruit
- Peach
- Lemon
- Cherry
- Plum
- Blackcurrant
- Elderberry
- Blood Orange
- Rambutan
The fruit will then need to be thrown into the Shimmer. Shimmer is the shimmering liquid found in the Aether Biome. It is used to transform items from one thing to another. When fruit is thrown into Shimmer it will transform into Ambrosia and float up and out of the Shimmer.
