Pokémon Legends: Arceus may be the latest entry in the series, and one of the most successful to date, but this doesn’t mean that Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have been abandoned or forgotten. On the contrary, the two remakes of the classic Nintendo DS games are still actively supported, and new Legendary Pokémon have now been made available in both games.
Here’s how to get Arceus and Darkrai in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
How to Get Arceus and Darkrai in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl update 1.3.0 introduces both Legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Arceus into the two games, but getting one of them will require you to own the latest entry in the series and complete it.
To get Arceus, you will need to complete Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ main story and have save data from the game on your console. In addition, you will also have to join the Hall of Fame in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and unlock the National Pokédex. Once this is done, you will have to go back into your room to get the Azure Flute item that can be used near the Spear Pillars on Mount Coronet to summon Arceus.
Getting Darkrai in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is considerably easier. All you need to do to get the chance to catch the Legendary Pokémon is the Member Card item, which is obtained via Mystery Gift between new moons. Like for Arceus, you will also need to join the Hall of Fame and unlock the National Pokédex. Once this is done, you need to go to Newmoon Island, where you will find Darkrai waiting for you.
