How to Get Bait in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact’s Fishing activity allows players to earn a variety of rewards by exchanging a given set of fish with the Mondstadt, Liyue, or Inazuma Fishing Association. Depending on the fish you are catching, you need a particular bait. With the Fishing activity introductory quest, players get 10 Fruit Paste Bait and a few other baits to complete the quest.

However, after completing the quest, many of the players don’t know how to get more bait. In the wake of that, we prepared a handy guide on how to get more bait in Genshin Impact. It also talks about the materials required to craft the different types of bait currently present in the game.

How to Get More Bait for Fishing

Players can get more bait for fishing via crafting. At first, players can craft only Fruit Paste Bait, used for catching Medaka Fish.

There are three other types of baits that players can craft, namely the Redrot Bait, False Worm Bait, and the Fake Fly Bait.

To craft extra bait for fishing, players need its formula. The Mondstadt Fishing Association sells the formula for the three baits that we mentioned earlier. Each formula costs three Medaka Fish. So with nine Medaka Fish, players can get the formula for every available bait in Genshin Impact.

Once you have the formula for the bait you want to craft, go and interact with an alchemy table. At the bottom, you will find the filter tab. Click on it and select the Bait option.

In the Bait menu, you can craft the extra bait that you require for continuing the Fishing activity in an endeavor to get The Catch polearm weapon.

Here are the materials you need to craft different types of bait:

  • Redrot Bait
    • Dendrobium X 1
    • Fowl X 1
  • False Worm Bait
    • Slime Condensate X 1
    • Berry X 1
  • Fake Fly Bait
    • Sakura Bloom X 1
    • Horse Tail X 1
  • Fruit Paste Bait
    • Sunsettia X 1
    • Wheat X 1

Performing single crafting gives 10 units of that bait. So plan according and get more baits based on your requirements.
