Chilling Water (TM022) Location in Scarlet and Violet

Just like Pounce (TM021), Chilling Water can be obtained by following the Victory Road path since this item drops after you defeat one of the eight Gym Leaders. Appropriately, the gym in question is the Water-type Gym in Cascarrafa, and you will have to fight its leader Kofu.

To make sure you get out of that battle a winner, you should first try to get to Level 29 and use an Electric- or Grass-type (for example, Sprigatito) against Kofu’s Water-type Pokémon.

How to Craft Chilling Water (TM022) in the Technical Machine in Scarlet and Violet

To craft your own Chilling Water (TM022) at any Pokémon Center’s TM, you should follow this recipe:

  • 3,000 League Points
  • Psyduck Down x3
  • Surskit Syrup x3

By the time you’re ready for Kofu, you should have enough League Points to invest in this item. Otherwise, try to do more missions and quests for more League Points if necessary. To get Psyduck Down, find Psyducks pretty much in all Paldean provinces close to a body of water. For catching Surskit, you will want to explore water surfaces in the South Province.

What Does Chilling Water (TM022) Bring You in Scarlet and Violet?

Using this move will douse your opponent in water so cold that it will reduce its power and Attack stat. Chilling Water can be learned by Water-type Pokémon and is great against Fire-, Ground-, and Rock-type Pokémon.
