How to Get Gengar in Pokemon Legends Arceus

Ever since the Pokémon games series were launched, Pokémon have only been capable of evolving by trading with another player.

However, the release of Pokémon Legends Arceus and its single player focus has completely altered the evolution method, allowing only a few Pokémons new ways to evolve.

So in this article we’ll be guiding you on how to get Gengar in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

In order to get Gengar, players will first have to evolve Haunter. Haunter, like many other Pokémons, used to be restricted by trade evolution. This requires players to a Haunter using another trainer in order to get Gengar.

And thanks to the new items that’s now available in the Hisui region of the game, it gives players access to Gengar instantly once they reach the Crimson Morelands. Although this process is far more streamlined.

So, in Pokémon Legends Arceus, Haunter can be evolved into Genger by using the new Linking Cord item. This is a consumable that looks very distinct compared to the bygone days of Hisui and is very hard to find. But if you compile your Merit Points, you can purchase one of it from the Trade Shop in Jubilife Village.

Additionally, players have little chances of finding one in space-time-distortions as there is no guarantee of one showing up. Also, you can only use the item on a Pokémon once. To use it again you’ll need to find another one.
