Sonic the Hedgehog’s legendary rival, Metal Sonic, has arrived in Roblox Sonic Speed Simulator! Just like their first encounter, players must challenge Metal Sonic to a one-on-one race at Stardust Speedway. If you do well enough and complete other objectives, you can even get Metal Sonic for yourself! Today, we’ll show you how to get Metal in Sonic Speed Simulator!
How to Unlock Metal Sonic in Sonic Speed Simulator
Metal Sonic, or simply just Metal, is one of the most popular characters in all of Sonic the Hedgehog history. Thanks to his cool design and seemingly unstoppable power, many fans were excited to see him finally added to Sonic Speed Simulator.
To unlock Metal as a playable character, you’ll first need to prove yourself and complete some challenges. In Green Hill, head all the way to the left end of the map with the big loop. Below the loop, you should see a tunnel that leads to Metal Madness, the challenge race against Metal Sonic.
We recommend trying the race at least once, just to see how the track is laid out. It doesn’t cost anything to try the race, and you don’t lose anything if Metal Sonic wins, so you can try it out stress-free.
Once you’re done with the race, head outside and walk into the platform that is containing both Metal and Metal Sonic 3.0. The mission info panel will pop up, and you have to complete the following challenges to unlock Metal:

The first mission is to find the Mysterious Orbs. These dark, purple orbs will spawn throughout the track against Metal, so make sure to grab them. The individual orbs are worth 25, while popping the red Eggman balloons will reward you with 100.
There are parts of the track where you can find multiple Eggman balloons lined up, so make sure to pop them all. This is the objective that will probably take the longest to complete, due to it requiring 75,000 orbs!
The second mission is to simply win against Metal three times. Once you learn the track layout, this is pretty easy to do. Just keep running and stay on the track—if you fall off, you lose a lot of time.
Don’t worry about being too low level, either. This challenge will normalize your speed and cap it out at 300 MPH, regardless of your current level. This means that you can attempt the challenge at any time with a fair chance of success.
The final mission is to finish the race under 1 minute and 20 seconds. Again, this is fairly easy to do once you learn the track layout. If you’re trying to complete this mission, try to avoid popping the balloons or going for the extras, as they will slow you down greatly.
