Coming with a very unique setting, it’s not surprising to see how the mechanics in Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster differ from those of most role-playing games out there. Even the main character customization system, the Magatama system, is different from those seen in other games. By ingesting these creatures, the Demi-Fiend can enjoy a variety of stats bonuses and get the chance to learn the same skills the many demons in the game can.
Here’s how to get the Miasma Magatama and how it affects the Demi-Fiend once ingested.
How to get the Miasma Magatama in Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster
The Miasma Magatama is one of those Magatamas that is impossible to miss, no matter what you do. To obtain it, you will have to defeat Mizuchi on the fifth floor of the Kabuchiko Prison. As this is a mandatory story battle, you cannot skip it. Once you defeat the boss, the Miasma Magatama will be yours.
Miasma’s Skills
The Miasma Magatama is a somewhat balanced Magatama that places a slightly bigger focus on Magic. Once it is ingested, you get a +2 bonus in Strength, Vitality, Agility and Luck and a +5 bonus in Magic. As most of the skills you can learn with the Miasma Magatama are Ice-based, the Magatama will unsurprisingly make you void Ice damage but weak to Fire. If you continue to let it act violently upon level up, you may get the Demi-Fiend poisoned or cursed, or get a permanent +1 bonus in Magic. You also have the chance of fully healing the Demi-Fiend.
Below, you can find all of the skills that can be learned by ingesting the Miasma Magatama.
- Wild Dance – 65% chance of inflicting panic to all targets.
- Void Ice – Passive – Grants immunity to Ice attacks, overriding natural weaknesses.
- Glacial Blast – Heavy ice damage to random targets, with a 15% chance of freezing them.
- Ice Drain – Passive – Users drains Ice attacks, overriding natural weaknesses.
