Moondew Nectar is a precious and rare resource in Slime Rancher 2. Let us show you a couple of tips and tricks on how to get Moondew Nectar in Slime Rancher 2.
Where to find Moondew Nectar in Slime Rancher 2
Moondew Nectar spawns exclusively in Starlight Strand, the second area of Slime Rancher 2. If you haven’t already found your way there, here’s how to get there. First, go to this area in Rainbow Fields:
You’ll find a Cotton Gordo blocking a cave entrance. Feed it 30 vegetables, and it’ll burst, opening the way forward. This way leads you to a strange contraption that activates a portal near the southwest corner of Rainbow Fields, which you see across the water.
Make your way back around to the corner of Rainbow Fields and step into the glowing pad to travel to Starlight Strand.
By the way, did you know that you can actually ride Slimes? Check out our guide on how to ride Slimes in Slime Rancher 2 for more details.
How to get Moondew Nectar in Slime Rancher 2
Moondew Nectar is a rare resource that only blooms during the night, specifically any time between 18:00 and 6:00, so make sure to prepare and sleep accordingly. At the crack of dawn, Moondew Nectar will start falling out of the buds on their own, and they expire fast, so you have to move quickly. Here’s what they look like in full bloom.
Moondew Nectar buds can be found all throughout Starlight Strand, but they are very rare. We had the most luck in the southern pink area.
You’ll most likely need the Jetpack upgrade if you haven’t gotten it yet, because in order to reach the southern area, you need to make some really long jumps.
What can Moondew Nectar be used for?
The Moondew Nectar only has one specific use, and that’s feeding the Flutter Gordo in the southern pink area of Starlight Strand. This nectar stuff is a pain in the butt to get, especially since you can’t grow it on your garden plots back at home, so thankfully you won’t have to deal with it for that long.
Moondew Nectar is the favorite food of Flutter Slimes, but you shouldn’t use your precious nectar on them. Instead, if you’re gunning for Flutter Plorts, you should breed a Flutter Largo instead.
We wish you luck with your Moondew Nectar farming in Slime Rancher 2. If you have any other tips on collecting Moondew Nectar, let us know in the comments below, and don’t forget to check out our other Slime Rancher 2 guides.
