How to Get Mythril in Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition

Getting new gear like weapons and armor in Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is not as straightforward as it is in other Japanese role-playing games. Not only you will have to pay money to purchase these items, but you will also need materials to actually forge them.

Among the materials you will need the most to forge powerful weapons and sturdy armor pieces is Mythril. Here’s how to get this material.

How to Get Mythril in Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition

Mythril, as mentioned above, is a forging item that can be used by blacksmiths to forge weapons, armors, and select accessories. Among the weapons and armors you can forge with Mythril are the Silver and Mythril weapons, the Mythril Vest and Mail, the Stone Mail, which also needs Denadorite, and special armor like the Elemental Plates such as Blue Plate, Red Plate, and so on.

Getting Mythril right after the events of Fort Dragonia (Another World) and getting stranded on Home World with no way back can be difficult, as you will only find it inside treasure chests. Once you make some progress, however, you will have no trouble getting plenty of them, as different enemies have the material as a common or rare drop. If you’re looking into farming Mythril, we suggest you do so by defeating the Mannequeen enemies that can be found in The Dead Sea, as they drop the material very often, being a common drop.
