Obtaining Nasty Plot TM 140 in Scarlet and Violet
TM 140 teaches a Pokémon the move Nasty Plot. This is a Dark-type move that has a status effect on the Pokémon’s Special Attack, increasing it by 2 stages when equipped. It is a really great boost in battle!

Nasty Plot can be gained once the player has completed the history lessons and caught the four Treasures of Ruin. Speak to Ms. Raifort in the Mesagoza staff room to unlock it. It can then be crafted using the following: 5000 LP, Meowth Fur x3, Spiritomb Fragment x3, and Tatsugiri Scales x3.
The move is super effective (x2) on Psychic and Ghost-type Pokémon. It has an average effect (x0.5) on Fighting, Dark and Fairy-type Pokémon.
