The Magatama system is one of the gameplay mechanics that make Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster such a deep role-playing system. Thanks to this system, it is possible to customize the Demi-Fiend with new skills and stats bonuses that allow players to come up with all sorts of different builds.
Here’s how to get the Nirvana Magatama and the skills that can be learned once it is ingested.
How to Get the Nirvana Magatama in Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster
The Nirvana Magatama is among the Magatama that are completely optional, so it is up to the player if and when to get it. To obtain this Magatama, you will have to purchase it from the Junk Shop in Asakusa for 15,000 Macca. If you’re playing the game in Hard Mode, you will have to spend 45,000 Macca to get it.
Nirvana’s Skills
The Nirvana Magatama is a very unique Magatama, in terms of stat bonuses granted. By ingesting this Magatama, you will get a +1 in Strength and Magic, a +2 in Vitality and Agility and a +8 in Luck. The Luck stat dictates how often you can perform critical hits on enemies, and thus get additional Press Turns, so it does make sense to invest heavily in this stat for some builds. Ingesting this Magatama will also make the Demi-Fiend null Expel attacks, but weak to Death skills.
The Nirvana Magatama’s wild effects are extremely useful if you’re in a tight spot. By letting it continue to act violently, you have the chance of healing the Demi-Fiend or the entire party. As such, always let it continue to act violently when the chance arises for some free healing.
Below you can find the skills that can be learned by ingesting the Nirvana Magatama.
- Violet Flash – Medium expel damage to a single target.
- Anti-Expel – Passive – Grants resistance to expel attacks, without overriding natural weaknesses.
- Divine Shot – Heavy physical damage to a single target with medium critical chance.
- Void Expel – Passive – Grants immunity to expel attacks, overriding natural weaknesses.
