The best way to get Old World Money in Dying Light 2 is by selling Valuables, Crystals, and Weapons to any of the vendor NPCs. You can almost sell anything to the Vendors in settlements to earn Old World Money that looks like Gold Coins.

We personally recommend players scavenge the point of interest that they find Villedor. By constantly using the Survivor Sense, players can learn if the items obtained by scavenging the thing or location will be of common, rare, or much valuable rarity. 

Make sure you loot all the bags, trunks, cupboards, and other similar things that give an orange glow when you use the Survivor Sense in the vicinity.

Pick and sell the useless weapons to the Vendor—they also fetch good Old World Money. 

Looting airdrops, armored vehicles, and other such things will give you some of the most valuable loots in Dying Light 2. Either keep them or sell them for Old World Money—the choice is yours.
