Purpur blocks in Minecraft

In order to obtain purpur blocks, you will first have to travel to the End dimension and defeat the Ender Dragon. Once the final boss is defeated, you can visit the outer end islands.

The outer end islands are barren floating masses of lands featuring strange vegetation called chorus plants. These weird looking plants are required for crafting purpur blocks.

By breaking chorus plants, you will get chorus fruits. Then, chorus fruits must be cooked in a furnace and made into popped chorus fruit. You can make four purpur blocks by placing four popped chorus fruit in the crafting grid.

Other than crafting, you can also get purpur blocks from end cities. These tall giant structures are entirely made of end stone bricks and purpur blocks. You can get tons of purpur blocks by mining an entire end city. Check out our guide to help you find end cities in Minecraft.
