How to Get Scaled Armor Set in Elden Ring 

You can get the Scaled Armor Set by defeating one of the oldest Tarnished, Old Knight Istvan. He is one of the Tarnished that you have to kill during the Volcano Manor assassination questline.

To start with the assassination quest—join the Volcano Manor by talking to the NPC called Tanith. Once you have done that, you will get the Key to one of the rooms in which you will find the assassination contract on the table. 

Pick up the contract, and you will get a new marker on your game map. The first contract is to kill Old Knight Istvan. You will find him in the northmost part of the Limgrave region of the Lands Between.

Once you are at the marked location, look on the ground. You will find a red sign. Interact with it, and you will get the option to invade Old Knight Istvan’s world. 

Defeat the Old Knight Istvan, and you will get his high poise Scaled Armor Set.
