How to Get Scarlet Ore in Core Keeper on Steam Deck

Scarlet Ore is the best crafting material you can find in the game. Therefore, you must immediately accept the fact that at the very beginning of the game you will not get this ore. You need good leveling, as well as fulfilling some conditions.

Scarlet Ore only spawns in 1 biome in the game, namely Azeos’ Wilderness. This biome is quite dangerous, as quite high-level creatures spawn there. But you should not worry, because you can get there only when you are ready.

To open the gates to Azeos’ Wilderness biome you need to defeat 3 core guardian bosses:

• Glurch
• Gorm
• Hive’s mother

After defeating them, you will receive 3 items that must be placed on suitable pedestals around the main core of the dungeon. After that, the core will activate, an indestructible wall protecting a new area will open. Next, you just need to go to the edge of the map and see how the indestructible wall is no more.

Once in the Azeos’ Wilderness Biome, finding the ore is not difficult, but there are a few tips to get it faster:

• Firstly, you can only get it with an iron pickaxe. Weaker picks won’t be able to do that.
• Also, although the walls in this biome are made of grass, they are 2 times stronger than the stone walls in the stone biome, so take this into account.
• We also advise you to take Ring of Rock and Ring of Stone with you, as well as increase your digging speed skills to more easily deal with walls in a new biome.
