How to Get Shiny Charmander in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Not all Shiny Pokemon can be found in the Wild and the Charmander is one of them. You can’t get it from the wild and it’s the only Charizard Pokémon that you cannot find it’s Shiny. However, being unable to acquire a shiny Charmander in the wild doesn’t mean you can’t get one at all.

So if you’re a trainer who’s looking to get their hands on a Shiny Charmander in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can do so through breeding. And although the game won’t allow you to encounter a Shiny Charizard during raid battles, you can breed them with a Ditto in exchange for a Charmander.

You should also utilize a foreign Ditto in order to maximize your chances of getting a Shiny Charmander. This method of breeding for a Shiny Pokémon is the Masuda Method. It’s also very important to know that if you’re using the 7-star Charizard, the Charmander you breed from it will not have the Tera type, the mark, or the nature that the Charizard has.
