Among the Legendary Pokemon that you can catch in the remakes of the Nintendo DS games is Giratina. Here’s how to catch its Shiny variant.

How to Get Shiny Giratina in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Getting a Shiny Giratina, like getting other Shiny Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, can be very time-consuming and frustrating, so you’d better arm yourself with patience if you truly want to get one.

Before you can get the chance of finding a Shiny Giratina, you will first have to unlock the National Dex. After you do, you need to head over the Spring Path on the eastern side of Route 214, follow it to reach Sendoff Spring, and then use the Rock Climb ability to reach Turnback Cave.

After you enter Turnback Cave, you will need to use Defog on the Poketch to become able to navigate the cavern. This location is a little different compared to all the others, as its layout is randomly generated, and you will need to reach the room with Giratina in under 30 rooms. The room with the Legendary Pokemon is the one right after the third pillar.

Once you reach the room with Giratina, save your game before engaging the Legendary Pokemon in battle. Once this is done, initiate combat and see if it is Shiny. If not, you will have to reset the game and repeat the process until you do get a Shiny Giratina. The odds of this happening are extremely low, so be prepared to reset even thousands of times to get the Shiny variant to appear.
