Despite being postponed a number of times, Hogwarts Legacy remains one of the most anticipated games of the year, as many fans of the acclaimed Harry Potter franchise are looking forward to getting their hands on yet another thrilling and magical adventure in Hogwarts.
The open-world feel will allow players to go about their wizarding ways like never before once they become students at the famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As we await the release of the game, one of the questions you may have been asking yourself is how to get Slytherin in Hogwarts Legacy.
How to get Slytherin in Hogwarts Legacy
Anybody who’s been anticipating the game for a while must also know that, in Hogwarts Legacy, your character can get sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses. Like in the original Harry Potter stories, each house has a different common room and color, and the Sorting Ceremony will play a role in shaping your life throughout the narrative.
If you’re not familiar with the respective houses in Hogwarts Legacy, they are named after each of the founders of the famous Hogwarts: Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin. Your house will define where your dormitory and common room are, as well as the colors you wear.
The students in each house possess qualities that were valued by those founders. Slytherins, for example, are known to be proud and ambitious. If that seems like the qualities you want your character to possess, then definitely go for Slytherin.
Getting Slytherin in Hogwarts Legacy isn’t very complicated. After some initial cutscenes in the game, you have your Sorting Ceremony, where you wear the Sorting Hat and it analyzes your personality. You will be prompted to fill in the gaps for that analysis in two separate moments, the first presenting two options:
- “I can’t wait to start classes.”
- “I can’t wait to explore.”
Then, the Sorting Hat mentions it sees something in you, and the answer you give is directly linked to the house you get sorted into. The options are:
- Daring (Gryffindor)
- Curiosity (Ravenclaw)
- Loyalty (Hufflepuff)
- Ambition (Slytherin)
After choosing from the options above, Hogwarts Legacy still allows you to change your mind one more time. The symbol of your house appears on the screen, and you can simply press a button if you are not satisfied with the result.
As soon as you confirm Slytherin as your choice, Professor Weasley will change your uniform’s colors into the glamorous combination of black, green, and silver, and take you to your common room.
