First, you need to get Temenos Mistral at your party. Once done, wait for the nighttime and head to the northern WIldlands. Here you won’t find a little boy. You need to wait 2-3 minutes for the boy to arrive.

Once the little boy is here, use Temenos Mistral’s ability “Coerce” to transform the boy into a shadow creature. By doing it, you will start the fight against the boy. The main trick here is to use lightning and staff attacks. They work exceptionally effectively against the shadow creature. 

After the fight, look behind. You will find a glowing blue item here. This item is Sunshadow Stuff. Just feel free to approach the tree and pick it up.
