The Joy skin was designed by DahjaCat who took inspiration from Vitiligo patients. DahjaCat is the Twitter username of the designer who created both the Joy character and skin. Epic Games decided to add the character to Fortnite due to her pale white patches.

The Joy skin can be obtained using V-Bucks as long as it is available in the Shop. Upon its availability, players can purchase it from the shop for around 1,200 V-Bucks.
