How to Get The Law Ending in Shin Megami Tensei V

Here’s everything you need to know to unlock the ending that is considered the closest to the canonical Law route of previous entries in the series.

How to Get The Law Ending in Shin Megami Tensei V

Unlike past Shin Megami Tensei games, Shin Megami Tensei V doesn’t feature the same route mechanics that lock you into an ending path at a certain point of the story. The ending, in this case, is determined by a choice you can make near the end of the game, right before the end of the Temple of Eternity.

To unlock the ending that is considered the closest to the Law route of previous games, you will need to pick either the “I will uphold God’s Order” or “I will recreate the world and Save Tokyo” choices. The first one will make you align with Abdiel and Ichiro, while the second with Hayao and Yuzuro. The events are obviously different, but they still see the Nahobino rise as a champion of order, preventing Tokyo from falling into total chaos.

If you have sided with Abdiel throughout the game and then decide to uphold God’s order, you will unlock the Rank Violation Miracle, which allows you to fuse demons at a higher level than the Nahobino. You will also unlock a special quest that will allow you to unlock the Michael Special Fusion.

If you have sided with Hayao throughout the game and then decided to recreate the world and save Tokyo, you will get the Inheritance Violation Miracle, which allows you to replace any demon’s starting skills during fusion, as well as the Holy Hayataro fusion, and two special quests, The Red Dragon”s Invitation, and The Wrathful Queen, which let you unlock the Belial and Inanna Special Fusions.
